The countryside of Moravian Slovakia is rich, well-preserved and varied. Many people visit for its calming effect, as well as active relaxation. Nature offers a refuge from everyday stress and work that calms and gives us new energy.
The Chřiby Highlands line the northern part of Moravian Slovakia, with Brdo being their highest peak. The White Carpathians – a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve – with their highest peak, Velká Javořina, represent the border with Slovakia. Nature has gifted this area with orchids and a beech forest stretches across the slopes of Velká Javořina. The landscape of Moravian Slovakia is loved by hikers, cyclists, boating enthusiasts and downhill and cross-country skiers alike. The land has a number of nature parks and reserves. You can go into the countryside to enjoy it as it is, or be inspired by one of the many nature trails.
Our tip – Observe Moravian Slovakia!
Thanks to the location and the number of observation towers, Chřiby and the White Carpathians offer breathtaking views of the Little Carpathians, Pálava, the Beskydy, the Jeseníky and even the Alps in good weather.
