Milotice Château

The home of the author of the book and film The Last Aristocrat. This is where the bestselling books about the Kostka family were written. The Milotice château national monument is also a unique opportunity to borrow period clothing from the Baroque, Rococo and Romance periods. There are a total of 190 costumes available. The site, referred to as the pearl of Southeast Moravia, is a well-preserved complex of Baroque buildings and landscape architecture. The installations offer a glimpse into the life of its last owner, Ladislav Seilern (1886–1976). Visitors today can see the elaborately composed château site with the cour d’honneur, riding school, stables, two orangeries, French-style park and adjacent pheasantry.
